Big Game Marketing Mayhem - Day 4
It’s official as of Tuesday afternoon! Ad space for the Big Game is sold out!
With that said, today’s highlight includes Doritos! I picked Doritos today for two reasons: 1) their promotion this year is quite creative in my opinion and 2) today, and for today only, Madison Avenue in NYC has been renamed to Madison Avenue Doritos Drive. Why may you ask? Find out via the link at the end of the blog.
So, you may have heard about a contest that Frito-Lay is doing with their Doritos brand called “Crash the Super Bowl.” In short, it’s a contest in which people filmed their own Doritos commercial for which only one will air on game day. Right now, there are six finalists. Check out their creations (and then vote!)
However, minus the bragging rights the winner will receive, the winner will also receive a monetary prize. The first place prize was originally $1 million, but has now moved up to a potential $5 million prize. The catch? Doritos will grant the first place winner the $5 million based on their commercials post-game rank on USA Today’s big-game Ad Meter. So, we shall discover Doritos’s fate together on Monday!
Lastly, here’s the link I promised: Doritos offers more for a super bowl winner
Until Friday everybody!
