Big Game Marketing Mayhem - Day 5

This is my last of my “Big Game Marketing Mayhem” blogs before the airing of the Super Bowl. How sad. However, I’ve had a blast all week! So, let’s make this last one a momentous occasion - starting with a “did you know” sort of thing.

I found out this interesting fact a day or two ago in an article from AdAge.com: “one Super Bowl ad can be as effective as 250 more regular TV commercials.” So, is the $3 million investment in this year’s Big Game worth it? I’d say so. (Interesting fact courtesy of AdAge.com)

For my last report on the ‘Big Game Marketing Mayhem,’ I present an article from Adweek.com. The article is titled “Sizing Up the Competition” and it reflects what is to come for the brands advertising in the Big Game and how they are ‘sizing’ up to their industry competition. Now, I said I’d make this momentous, so let’s talk controversy. “Abortion, a kiss between men, an effeminate former football player selling lingerie, and hell: So many Super Bowl ad controversies, so little time”.
