So, the Super Bowl was last night and I hope everyone’s expectations with the commercials (and the Saint’s historic victory) were met. As for my expectations, there were some hits and some misses. My favorite commercial was one the Doritos spots, in which the little boy laid down the law with his mother’s date. I probably viewed that commercial at least three times before seeing it again last night and still thought it was funny!

Speaking of Doritos though, remember the contest I briefly talked about in Thursday’s, or “Day 4’s,” blog last week? Well, in terms of Doritos’ fate in USA Today’s 2010 Ad Meter results, only one of the three commercials made the top 3. Therefore, the first place winner did not get the $5 million. However, it’s not like he walked away empty-handed, he/she still received the $1 million in winnings. The one that won Doritos “Crash the Bowl” contest and placed in second on USA Today’s 2010 Ad Meter was the spot that involved the dog collar.
